The Workers Compensation Assistant fills a unique position at the intersection of client services, administrative, and field assignments. The office assistant will technically work at our San Pedro office and at Anaheim at the workers' compensation appeals board. The position is a cross between legal assistant and a field representative. Monday - Wednesday (some Thursday) mornings you will report to the Anaheim workers compensation appeals board to file documents for our hearing representative that will arrive a few hours later. Either after or before filing the documents you will work our San Pedro office to perform your office assistant duties. This position is also temp/part time. Approx 25 - 30. hours per week. Full time is possible for the right candidate.

EXPERIENCE WE LOOK FOR:
Workers' Compensation: Experience in workers' compensation from the defense perspective is very helpful for this position. We have our eyes open for those that have a background as a legal assistant, or a office assistant or file clerk for a workers compensation firm.
Bilingual: Looking for someone that speaks English and Spanish fluidly. Not a requirement but helpful.
Administrative: experience in working with common office software such as MS office, acrobat, etc. Experience drafting workers compensation legal docs is a huge plus.
Technology: We are not a tech company but we are very technology focused. Experience and a high level of comfort dealing with new and changing technologies is something we look for. Big plus for those who are familiar with google drive.
Streamlining processes & providing solutions : While you may have not have workers' compensation experience, we are looking for people with a passion for solving problems and streamlining processes.
Entrepreneurial élan: finally, and in some ways most importantly, we're looking for people with a demonstrated independent streak.
